Early career researchers recruited to the BrisEngBio projects will be part of the BrisEngBio ECR cohort. Throughout their time at BrisEngBio, they will be provided with numerous opportunities to develop their innovation skills and extend their networks within the academic and innovation space.

The programme offered includes:

  • Innovation and commercialisation training delivered by the University of Bristol, Science Creates, and external partners, using a combination of theory based learning and practical hands-on experience.
  • Peer-to-peer support through regular BrisEngBio ECR cohort days.
  • Honorary membership at Science Creates.
  • Mentoring Scheme with Science Creates member companies and other partners as mentors, to gain exposure to deep tech SMEs and to access the broader community and ecosystem.
  • Networking opportunities to connect with researchers, entrepreneurs and investors.
